Check out our Farm to School Day at Butler High School!
A representative from Radicle Farm Company (http://www.radfarm.co/), which grows organic salad greens and sells them still alive with their root intact, gave students & faculty a chance to learn about organic farming, greenhouses, and various types of salad greens.
There were tastings of baby arugula, mizuna, chard, and spinach; and students were shown the harvesting process and their greenhouses.
Students learned that farming can be for everyone, even those without huge pieces of land!
